Four additional dates on sale

David Lee Roth has announced additional shows to his sold out House of Blues Las Vegas residency at Mandalay Bay. Four new dates have been added for January 14, 15, 21 and 22, despite the singer saying he was retiring after the initial run of shows.

“I had no idea how many of you wanted to pay to see me go. So I’m putting more tickets on sale, instead of doing the wrong thing and pissing more people off. I have industry professionals now ringing in, telling me, ‘Dave, at your age, you should be in the middle of your third retirement. Did you watch Rocky movies? He’s on his seventh. Same guy, Rambo — fifth. He’s about 14 retirements ahead of you.’ Just when I get out, they drag me back in,” Roth says in a new audio statement.

“Look, I’m vulnerable. I feel sensitive. If I sound that way to you, I’m in the middle of my first retirement. And I’m gonna extend my world goodbye tour of Las Vegas at the House Of Blues for two more weekends — like any good fucking barbecue. Just like you would, if you could.”

In October, Roth told the Las Vegas Review Journal that he would call it quits at the end of the initial five show run.

“I am throwing in the shoes. I’m retiring,” Roth shares. “This is the first, and only, official announcement. You’ve got the news. Share it with the world. I’m not going to explain the statement. The explanation is in a safe. These are my last five shows.”

The shows for December 31st, January 1st, January 5th, 7th and 8th are sold out. Tickets to the new shows are available now via Ticketmaster and all patrons must be 18+.

The larger than life residency at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will delight fans with an explosive two-guitar sound and mega list of familiar hits featuring a changing set of 26 instantly recognizable songs from his Van Halen era through his own solo career.
