Nearly a dozen dates are affected

Ringo Starr has canceled the remainder of his 2022 tour dates due to testing positive for COVID twice. Nearly a dozen dates had to be canceled due to Starr’s test. The tour was set to wrap on October 20th in Mexico City.

“I’m sure you’ll be as surprised as I was I tested positive again for COVID,” he shares on social media. “The rest of the tour is off. I send you peace and love.”

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band featuring Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Hamish Stuart and Edgar Winter postponed the trek in June as two members tested positive. The tour was again postponed on October 2nd forcing six dates to be canceled, after Starr tested positive. It was officially canceled on Thursday (Oct 13th) when Starr received a second positive test.

On September 16th, Starr released EP3, featuring four new tracks, via UMe. The new songs were all recorded at Starr’s Roccabella West studio and feature longtime collaborators Lukather, Linda Perry, Dave Koz, José Antonio Rodriguez, and Bruce Sugar. Starr’s instantly recognizable vocals, feel-good lyrics, easy-breezy melodies, and frequent and new collaborators created songs that span the spectrum of pop, country, reggae and rock and roll. EP3 will be available as a 10-inch vinyl and limited edition translucent royal blue cassette on November 18th.
