Carter was found dead in his home

Pop star and actor Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34. TMZ reports Carter was found dead in a bathtub him his Lancaster, CA home on Saturday (Nov 5th).

Circumstances surrounding his passing are unclear, but authorities say a 911 call came in at 11 am stating a male had drowned in the tub.

No further information or evidence of foul play have been suspected at this time. Homicide detectives are at the scene, which is standard procedure. Sheriff vehicles and paramedics were also photographed at the scene with caution tape surrounding the property.

“I have no comment at this time, a statement will be released shortly by the family and management. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time,” manager Taylor Helgeson says in a statement.

Carter rose to fame in 1997 with the release of his self-titled debut at the age of nine. He has released four studio albums and often toured with the Backstreet Boys featuring his older brother Nick.

His first album went Platinum with its follow-up, 2000’s Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA.

The Tampa native transitioned into acting over the years, appearing in TV’s 7th Heaven, Liberty Kids and others.

Carter had dealt with legal and substance abuse issues over the years with numerous stints in rehab and a famous appearance on The Doctors.

Carter is survived by his son, Prince.
