The 2017 Billboard Music Awards air live on ABC on May 21st

Musician Pete Wentz and singer-songwriter Julia Michaels are set to announce the 2017 Billboard Music Award nominees on Monday, April 10th during the 8 am hour of ABC’s Good Morning America. Five categories live on-air. Following the East Coast broadcast, 43 more categories will be announced on Billboard Music Awards social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram). The final four categories will be exclusively announced on Billboard.com to close out the 2017 Billboard Music Awards nominations announcement.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards are set to return to ABC and will be broadcast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 21st at 8 pm ET/PT. The show will showcase this year’s hottest and biggest music stars. Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.
