Christmas song is available now
Seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette has released her version of the holiday classic “Little Drummer Boy.”
The holiday cover caps off an exciting 2022 for the singer. Morissette was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame by Olivia Rodrigo.
Earlier this year, she released her first meditation album, The Storm Before the Calm, co-written alongside Dave Harrington. Morissette has been a long-time advocate in the mental health and mindfulness space and this is an extension of that. The music is an aural journey of soothing instrumentation and expressive mid-tempo percussion. Three of the 11 tracks include atmospheric vocal tones.
Last month, she wrapped her world tour celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill. The trek followed Morissette’s sold out No. 1 female-fronted tour from 2021, which was also one of the Top Worldwide Tours of 2021 selling over 500,000 tickets.
Morissette also stars in Fox sitcom, The Great North, which is currently in the midst of its third season.
