Roberts returns after three decades

Alice Cooper is welcoming the return of Kane Roberts to his band for the fall trek of his Detroit Muscle tour.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming back Kane Roberts for our shows in September and October,” Cooper shares. “We’ve been friends all this time, and he’s always been one of my favorite guitarists. He’s bringing more muscle to the Detroit Muscle Tour. We’ve always had a swinging door policy where players can come and go, so it’s very exciting to get back on stage with Kane. The fans are in for a real treat at these shows. It’s gonna be a blast. Kane Roberts, Ryan Roxie, and Tommy Henriksen on guitars? Hell yeah!”

Roberts rejoins after Nita Strauss announced her departure from the Alice Cooper band after eight years earlier this week. She also canceled all of the festival dates she had lined up with her solo band. Rumors indicate she will join Demi Lovato on tour this fall as the pop star pushes for a more rock edge.

SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk shared this week on Trunk Nation that he was hearing that a Cooper/Roberts reunion wasn’t out of the question. Roberts was a member from 1985-1988 and left to pursue a solo career.

The Detroit Muscle fall tour kicks off September 7th in Bethlehem, PA and runs through October 8th in Las Vegas.

Cooper is celebrating the release of his universally acclaimed 2021 album Detroit Stories. The record is a celebration of the sound and spirit of the Golden Era of Detroit rock, and debuted on the Billboard Album sales chart at No. 1 upon release in February 2021.
