Band will headline day one

Arcade Fire has been tapped to replace the Foo Fighters at 2022 Osheaga Music and Artist Festival in Montreal. The iconic band will headline day one of the three day festival at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. The festival experience runs from July 29th to 31st.

“When the Foo Fighters unfortunately had to cancel, it was extremely important to us that we book a band that means something special to our local music fans as well as an artist that would appeal to a huge fan base internationally. We are thrilled that our local hometown heroes Arcade Fire were able to step in and fill the void. The band put on one of the most memorable headline sets in Osheaga history in 2010, and having them back for our 15th anniversary will be really special,” explains Nick Farkas, Senior Vice-President, Booking, Concerts and Events at evenko and Founder of Osheaga, “Our thoughts remain with our friends in the extended Foo Fighters family in this tremendously difficult time.”

The Foo Fighters canceled the remainder of their tour following the untimely death of drummer Taylor Hawks last month.

With a new album set for release on May 6th, Arcade Fire will be playing new material as well as many of the classics for what will be an unforgettable homecoming set that fans won’t want to miss.

Other headliners include A$AP Rocky and Dua Lipa with performances by Kygo, The Kid Laroi, Charli XCX, Burnaboy, Machine Gun Kelly, Glass Animals and others.

Casino de Montréal Gold pass holders will have access to the Casino de Montréal Gold Terrace, a platform offering a premium view of the main stages, with access to private washrooms, an exclusive beverage stand and a fast-lane entry onto the festival grounds.

Payment plans are available until April 17th.

Osheaga 2020/2021 passholders are invited to hold on to them as they will be honored for the 2022 edition.

$1 from every Osheaga ticket sold will be donated to the evenko foundation, via the Plus1 organization.
