Ashanti has released “Falling For You” via Written Entertainment. In this heartfelt and sultry song, Ashanti stays true to her signature style and gives us a little sauce as she tells us, she will no longer fall for you anymore.

Ashanti co-wrote the song with Yung Bleu who also provides the modern, R&B beat, with a 2022 twist.

The video’s creative direction from Kenashia “Shia” Douglas, gives us a look into a relationship. Ashanti visits a tarot card reader and she turns over three cards that dictate the journey of a relationship. All the trials and tribulations, and then getting justice at the end.

“When Bleu and I wrote this song, we wanted to keep my same writing style and visual and add some 2022 heat to it. I know everyone can relate to the ups and downs of a relationship, and sometimes know you will not fall for the same things over and over again,” says Ashanti.

Over the summer, the R&B star released her first-ever picture book, My Name is a Story, with HarperCollins. Inspired by Ashanti’s real-life experiences, the children’s book features illustrations by Monica Mikai that will instill confidence in its readers. Told through the perspective of her younger self, Ashanti celebrates her name’s meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. As she learns more about her name, she learns more about herself. This joyful book is perfect for any child struggling to embrace what makes them special and unique.

Earlier this year, Ashanti made history by taking control of her creative and business destiny and becoming the first black female artist to be a co-owner in Web3 music tech company, EQ Exchange. She also celebrated her history-making multi-platinum debut album’s 20th anniversary by announcing the launch of her first NFTs on the EQ Exchange platform.
