Ashley McBryde hints at new music

McBryde released her second album in March 2020

It’s been less than a year since Ashley McBryde released her second album Never Will via Warner Music Nashville, and a new one is already in the works. Never Will was released in March as the pandemic began to conquer the world and halted touring. Like so many other artists, the year off the road gave McBryde plenty of time to dedicate towards new music. McBryde shares she’s working on her third album that could include some guest artists.

“During 2020, we have been able to have two writing retreats safely,” McBryde reveals to Everything Nash. “And we wrote a lot of songs. I don’t feel in my heart like it’s time for record number three, but we did write an entire project one week. I think 2021 is going to get to see that happen. I’m hoping there’s some other artists that are going to sing on it with me. And I think it’s going to be a blast.”

McBryde is a known road dog and says she can’t wait to get back to playing shows again.

“I’m going to give so many awkward long hugs, probably to some strangers too,” McBryde continues. “Musically, I’m so ready to get back on a stage. I don’t care if it’s a hole in the wall, and I don’t care if it’s an arena. I don’t care if it’s a theater. I just want to play music again.”

Never Will picked up a GRAMMY nom for Best Country Album at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards being held January 31st on CBS.
