Actress signs with Red Van Records & Jonas Group Publishing for music

Already known for her numerous acting and musical roles, multi-talented artist Bailee Madison is set to release her debut song, “Kinda Fun,” on January 12th. The metaphorical track is her first music release with Jonas Group Entertainment’s Red Van Records.

Collaborating with her boyfriend, Blake Richardson (frontman of the British-Pop Trio New Hope Club), “Kinda Fun” marks Madison’s musical aspirations taking center stage.

“Exploring music has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” Madison shares. “Blake and I were hanging out one night, and he started strumming his guitar (as he usually does), and ‘Kinda Fun’ just came together in an evening. The lyrics reflect all I was able to experience as a child in the industry and with an excitement about where I am now personally as I enter my mid-20s.

Most of the lyrics are metaphors about growing up, being proud of what’s been accomplished, not letting opinions cloud my decisions, and giving myself not just permission but the liberation to live and create freely.”

In addition to co-writing the song, Madison provided background vocals and played cello on the track. Producing and playing multiple instruments on the song is co-writer, Blake Richardson.

Madison, who recently signed with Jonas Group Publishing as a writer, also inked a deal with Jonas Group Entertainment’s Red Van Records, and “Kinda Fun” marks her first release for the label. “I am so excited to begin my music journey officially and have it be with the team at Red Van Records and Jonas Group Publishing,” Madison adds.

“I feel incredibly inspired and encouraged to tell stories from my heart. The experience, knowledge and love from this team is priceless, and I can’t think of a better partnership to embark on this incredibly fulfilling next chapter.”

As an in-demand actress, Madison is currently starring in the globally renowned franchise and critically recognized reboot Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. She first gained acclaim in the film Bridge To Terabithia and the physiological war drama Brothers. She’s continued to garner many notable roles, such as Just Go With It, The Strangers: Prey at Night, the fantasy film North Pole, Wizards of Waverly Place, Good Witch, and more. With the 2021 Netflix musical hit A Week Away, she has seamlessly immersed herself into the world of music, a passion that has always been in her heart to pursue.

Beyond the spotlight, Madison is a passionate advocate for charitable causes. She supports Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and champions Michelle Obama’s Better Make Room campaign, demonstrating a commitment to making a positive impact.
