Cyrus will co-star in Christmas film, release new single with Firerose

This fall will usher in new music and a big screen role for global entertainment icon Billy Ray Cyrus. The Kentucky native will release a new single with Australian-born singer/songwriter Firerose called “Time,” available everywhere in November.

Cyrus and the Australian-born Firerose — who have been dating for awhile and are rumored to be engaged at 61 and 34, respectively — co-wrote and recorded the song in the midst of the success of their chart topping hit “New Day.”

“Time” is featured in the forthcoming Lionsgate film, Christmas In Paradise, which co-stars Cyrus alongside Kelsey Grammer and Elizabeth Hurley. Christmas in Paradise opens in select theaters on November 11th and available on demand, digital and Blu-ray and DVD on November 15th.

The film is described as a charming tropical tale guaranteed to heat up your holidays. Three quirky sisters chase their estranged dad (Grammer) down to his beachside pad in the Caribbean and enjoy a little fun in the sun. But why did he disappear to the islands? Only Joanna (Hurley) knows for sure, and she’s sworn to secrecy! Love, laughter, and songs by Cyrus make this a Christmas to remember.
