Event will be held in August

Blackpink announces the Born Pink Pop-Up Experience in New York City from August 9th through August 12th at 541 W. 25th St., presented by American Express. Japanese graphic artist, Verdy, serves as the artistic director for the global pop-up experience which started in London this past June and will be popping up in LA later this summer. The Born Pink Pop-Up will give fans access to an added dimension of the group’s record breaking Born Pink World Tour with limited edition merchandise designed by Verdy for the pop-up which will include some New York-exclusive styles, premium tee shirts, hoodies, hats and accessories.

Verdy has created the exclusive capsule collection to coincide with upcoming global activations where he creates a world that merges his distinct artistic touch with Blackpink’s trendsetting aesthetic. Verdy is a graphic artist from Osaka, Japan who currently resides in Tokyo. He is notably known for his iconic projects Girls Don’t Cry, Wasted Youth, his panda rabbit character Vick and most recently Visty. Verdy has worked with brands such as Nike, Human Made, Instagram, Levi’s, The Minions, Coachella, Dover Street Market and more. His creative efforts continue to thrive, acquiring him recognition worldwide.

The three-day event is produced by Bravado, Universal Music Group’s industry leading merchandise and brand management company. All visitors who purchase merchandise at the experience will receive a limited edition, Verdy designed tote bag, while supplies last, courtesy of American Express.

As the official presenting partner of the Born Pink Pop-Up Experience, American Express will offer Card Members a variety of epic onsite benefits, including exclusive early access to the experience for one hour each day ahead of the opening for themselves and up to one guest.
