Label imprint partners with Chris Janson’s Harpeth 60 Records

BMLG Records has announced the signing of Shane Profitt in partnership with Chris Janson’s Harpeth 60 Records. The 22-year-old from Columbia, TN joins the Big Machine Label Group imprint’s superstar roster which boasts Lady A, Brett Young, Riley Green and Laci Kaye Booth.

“When Shane showed up, it was one of those moments of ‘where the heck has this guy been hiding?’,” states Big Machine Label Group Chairman & CEO Scott Borchetta. “It’s all there… great songs, great singer, great guy and country as it gets. Country fans – you don’t know it yet but let me introduce you to your next favorite artist.”

“I am so proud of Shane Profitt,” states Janson. “He is the real deal. A great songwriter, artist and vocalist, and a big time star. I’m grateful to Scott Borchetta for partnering with me and couldn’t be more humbled and excited. Shane is the first artist signed to my Harpeth 60 Records imprint with BMLG.”

Surrounded by music from an early age, Profitt’s family would often play music together. It wasn’t until his grandfather gifted him a guitar and taught him a few chords, that he began learning every song he could from Hank Williams to Merle Haggard. After receiving positive reactions to cover videos he shared on social media, Profitt gained the confidence and desire to tell his own stories through music, beginning his journey as a songwriter.

“There are no words to describe how excited I am to work with BMLG Records and Harpeth 60 Records,” adds Profitt. “Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and made this dream come true. I can’t wait to get my music out to the world.”

Signing his first publishing deal earlier this year with Janson’s Old Tom Music Publishing, Profitt has been hard at work writing songs for his debut project while also landing cuts by Janson and other artists. He recently spent time touring on Janson’s Halfway to Crazy Tour, which included a show at the coveted Ryman Auditorium, where Profitt’s performance earned him multiple standing ovations.
