Bobby Bones, host of iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show, has announced that he will take his Funny & Alone Stand Up Comedy Tour nationwide in 2017, revealing a schedule of dates kicking off in Virginia Beach, VA on January 13th. Heralded by Rolling Stone as “if not a king of all media, then at least a prince,” Bones piloted his quick-witted, pop-culture stacked brand of comedy on a handful of dates earlier this year as a passion project, and his tales have proved to be an instant hit amongst audiences, with some venues selling out in just minutes. Tickets will go on sale on Friday (Dec 2nd) at 10 am local time.
Bones will take his captivating yet hilarious story out on the road with his one-man stand-up show, combining his love for country music and comedy in his distinct humorous patter, while regaling stories from growing up in rural Arkansas, to hosting the most popular radio show in the format. With an innate ability for being at the forefront of breaking new artists, and recently honored by ASCAP with the “Partners In Music” Award, Bones is taking special guest Walker Hayes and newcomer Nikita Karmen out on the dates.
“I’ve been doing stand up comedy since I was 19 years old, and I’m really excited to be able to do it for more people next year,” said Bones. “My favorite thing to do is be on the radio, but it’s followed very close by my love for comedy and the stage. I wanted to put together a show that lovers of comedy and music would enjoy. It’ll be fun to bring out Walker Hayes, who is one of my current favorite artists. And I’m also excited for the rest of the country to see Nikita Karmen, but mostly I’m just pumped to make people laugh.”
