Springsteen received three citations

Bruce Springsteen was arrested in November 2020, but the news is just coming to light. The Boss was charged with DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area while at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ on November 14th.

The public spokesperson didn’t state why it’s taken nearly three months to be reported, but does share that the 71 year old singer/songwriter was cooperative throughout the process. He appears in court in the coming weeks.

TMZ was the first to report the news that follows another first for the legendary singer. Springsteen teamed with Jeep for the two-minute film The Middle, his first-ever brand partnership in his decades long career. In the clip, Springsteen asks Americans to “meet in the middle” and reunite after years of division.

Springsteen was intimately involved in creating the short, and worked closely with longtime director Thom Zimny. He wrote and produced the original score with frequent collaborator Ron Aniello. The Middle was filmed in locations across the United States, including on the grounds of the U.S. Center Chapel in Lebanon, Kansas, which stands on the geographical center (the middle) of the United States of America’s lower 48 states.

The film made a one time TV appearance during the Big Game, but is now available online.
