The group kicks off its headlining tour in May

Buzzing Los Angeles band The Scarlet Opera is back with their newest stadium-ready rock anthem “Catch Me If You Can,” available via SB Projects/Republic Records. The single is the band’s first release of 2024 and sets the stage for more new music to come from them this summer.

Kickstarted by glossy guitars and neon keys, on “Catch Me If You Can,” The Scarlet Opera delivers their most upbeat and energetic song to date. Frontman Luka Bazulka sets the scene of “the magical mystery show where the strangers you brought to the dance are the friends that you know,” going on to tease, “Catch me if you can.” The momentum culminates in an uplifting crescendo dripping with drama and emotion. The band beckons everyone to catch up as they set the pace for a new era of rock on their terms.

On the track, The Scarlet Opera says, “We don’t really believe in revenge, but we do believe in epic destiny. We’re fortunate that those who have and continue to doubt us, hold little space in our hearts—this record will act as a constant reminder that we’re in control. Catch us if you can!”

The band recently announced their highly anticipated, upcoming Catch Me If You Can Headline Tour across the US, kicking off next month and running through June. The tour stops at Los Angeles’ The Regent Theater on May 29th, New York’s Music Hall Of Williamsburg on June 5th, and more. Tickets are selling quickly. In addition, the band will be performing at a slew of festivals this summer, including Napa’s BottleRock and Pittsburgh’s Pride on the Shore Festival.

Next week, The Scarlet Opera will perform at the 2024 GLSEN Respect Awards in New York on April 29th. GLSEN is the leading education organization dedicated to creating safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ+ youth, and the annual benefit raises critical funds for GLSEN’s student programs such as the Rainbow Library, which provides LGBTQ+ affirming texts to students experiencing book bans.

“Catch Me If You Can” follows the band’s latest empowering single “That Kind Of Woman” and 2023 debut Comedy EP, which features breakout songs “The Place To Be,” “Big City Thing,” “Alive,” and “Riot.”
