The country star lights a spark and gets revenge in new clip
Carly Pearce has unveiled the fiery official music video for her rising single “Truck on Fire” from her critically acclaimed fourth studio album Hummingbird via Big Machine Records.
The music video transports the viewer to a small town and sees Pearce live out a classic revenge fantasy, taking matters into her own hands by torching the beloved truck of a cheating ex. Directed by Pearce’s longtime collaborator Alexa Campbell, “Truck on Fire” is Carly’s first official music video to be released since she won the CMT Award for Collaborative Video of the Year in April for her Grammy-nominated single “We Don’t Fight Anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton.
First debuted on CMT for its worldwide premiere, the video will air hourly on CMT and MTV Live, and be featured on both CMT Music and on CMT Equal Play via Pluto TV throughout the day. Additionally, the “Truck on Fire” music video was played on the 1515 Broadway Paramount Times Square billboard in New York City this morning.
“No one wants to be cheated on, but everyone wants to seek revenge,” Pearce says of the song. “ I wrote this song for every girl who has gone through a similar situation and dreams of wreaking havoc on her ex.”
Carly is currently playing the single to audiences across the globe while out on her headline Hummingbird World Tour. The tour is presented by Conundrum Wines, with whom Carly partnered on a limited-edition label for Conundrum Red and White blends. The label features the bold, widely recognized Conundrum logo adorned with wildflowers and a hummingbird – symbols of renewal and healing that are central to Pearce’s journey. In addition to the label, the physical representation of the world created with hummingbird also extends to the tour which sees Carly unveil her most detailed stage design yet with a dreamlike, lush naturescape complete with wooden accents and a multitude of florals.
The 40+ date tour continues October 24th in Tampa and will proceed through North American cities like Calgary and Winnipeg before heading overseas in February 2025 for a European and UK run of shows including stops in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, and Dublin. To close out the tour, Pearce will head back to the United States stopping in cities like Milwaukee, Columbus, Indianapolis, Houston, Tulsa, and Phoenix before concluding on May 16, 2025, in Nashville. Karley Scott Collins, Matt Lang, Jess Moskaluke, Wade Bowen, and Carter Faith will join Carly as support on select dates.
