Trio will perform Down Under this fall

The Chicks will make their anticipated return to Australia for the first time since 2017, when they played sold out Sydney and Melbourne shows. With their just-announced second Brisbane performance, The Chicks will now tally a mammoth 11 nights across Australia and New Zealand on the antipodean leg of their World Tour this October – including sold out Melbourne, Brisbane and Christchurch shows. Elle King will support all dates.

Following a month-long residency at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood in May, the global superstars are in superb form. The trio received rave reviews from their just-wrapped European and UK tour, which included an anticipated finale at London’s Hyde Park last week alongside Bruce Springsteen and James Bay. The band continues through North America in August and September before landing Down Under in October.

Earning universal recognition as the biggest-selling US female band of all time, The Chicks have sold more than 30.5 million albums and are among an elite group of artists and the only female group to achieve multiple Diamond selling releases — reaching the stratospheric landmark of over 10 million copies sold, with both 1998’s Wide Open Spaces and its 1999 follow-up Fly.

Counting 13 Grammy Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, and numerous Country Music Association Awards among many other accolades, The Chicks’ record-breaking 2006 studio album, Taking The Long Way picked up five Grammy Awards including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

With the release of their first studio album in 14 years, 2020’s Gaslighter, The Chicks delivered their most anticipated yet, impressing critics globally. The album was co-produced by Jack Antonoff.
