Song celebrates working men and women

Platinum-selling recording artist and award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Janson is enjoying a decorated music career, but at his core he is simply a working man. His latest single “Waitin’ On 5” is a blue collar anthem that salutes a well-earned end-of-day wind down, and now fans can check out its celebratory music video. Janson hit the Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbrier, TN for the socially distanced shoot alongside director Sam Siske. Featured in the video are the entertainer’s father, who fills his real-life role as an auto body painter, as well as his father-in-law.

“I have so much respect for the hardworking men and women in this country,” Janson shares. “I am proud to count members of my own family, like my dad and father-in-law, among them. This song and the video are my way of honoring what they and so many others do every day – and encouraging them to have a little fun when the job is done!”

“Waitin’ On 5” hit country radio in September following the success of Janson’s multi-week chart-topper “Done”. The “true country excellence” (MusicRow) became his fourth No. 1 single, joining gold-certified “Good Vibes” and “Fix A Drink” and 3x platinum smash “Buy Me A Boat.” Janson performed these favorites and more at his Live at the Ryman virtual concert in August, and he will return to the Grand Ole Opry to celebrate its 95th birthday with a performance on October 17th.

The road warrior, always hungry to bring his music to the fans, is currently playing drive-in shows across the country, with two more coming up this month.
