CMT has unveiled its upcoming summer programming slate of new and returning original series and music specials. Kicking off with the return of “CMT’s Red, White & Blue Weekend,” CMT will again air the live broadcast of Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th, Nashville’s signature Fourth of July fireworks display and concert headlined by Old Dominion, plus CMT Hot 20 Countdown’s annual “Holiday Salute to the Troops” weekend special.
As previously announced, CMT Campfire Sessions returns for its much-anticipated season two with Jason Aldean kicking off its new star-packed season on Friday, July 15th at 10 pm ET/PT. Additionally, the brand has greenlit an all-new fan-centered concert series, CMT Summer Camp, which will premiere with Little Big Town on Thursday, August 12th at 9 pm ET/PT.
CMT’s Red, White & Blue Weekend airs Friday, July 1st through Monday, July 4th.
CMT Hot 20 Countdown Holiday Salute to the Troops premieres Friday, July 2nd at 9 am ET/PT with an encore on Sunday, July 3rd at 9 am ET/PT. CMT’s signature weekly series comes to fans on location from the The Patriotic Festival in Norfolk, VA with headliners Kane Brown, Jon Pardi, RaeLynn and the real stars of the show—the men and women of the US Navy – for the annual Holiday Salute to the Troops. CMT Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th from Nashville with Old Dominion premieres on Monday, July 4th at 10 pm ET/PT. Broadcasting live from downtown Nashville, the 90-minute special features a concert from Old Dominion, immediately followed by a commercial-free presentation of one of the largest fireworks displays in the country, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp’s (NCVC) live Fourth of July fireworks display, accompanied by the Nashville Symphony. CMT’s Cody Alan to host.
CMT Campfire Sessions season two airs Friday, starting July 15th at 10 pm ET/PT. CMT’s fan-favorite series returns for a second season with seven all new episodes featuring a star-packed lineup of music’s biggest names as they strip down their biggest hits, share new music and swap stories with friends fireside for an intimate night of music. Jason Aldean airs July 15th, Brandy Clark on July 22nd, Clay Walker & Tracy Lawrence on July 29th, Old Dominion on August 5th, Brett Eldredge on August 12th, Old Crow Medicine Show on August 19th, Jon Pardi on August 26th and an encore appearance from Little Big Town on September 2nd. The season wraps with a one-hour special “Covers” episode on September 9th.
CMT Summer Camp with Little Big Town premieres Friday, August 12th at 9 pm ET/PT. CMT treats fans to the ultimate concert experience with CMT Summer Camp, an exclusive one-hour special shot from the Sandy Creek Barn Amphitheater at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA with multi-Platinum-selling, country supergroup Little Big Town. The foursome will perform new music and some of their greatest hits for their biggest fans for a night filled with good music and summertime fun – fireworks included – for the premiere episode.
