Video co-stars Cody Walker
Country/pop songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Caroline Jones has premiered the cinematic official music video for new single “Chasin’ Me” on CMT Music and CMT.com as a part of the Artist Discovery platform. The single will be in rotation on CMT Music for the next six weeks and is also available now at all retailers.
“Chasin’ Me” is a continuation of the storyline introduced in “The Difference,” opening with a recap of the cross-country car chase that ignited a love story between Jones and co-star Cody Walker. The tone of part two is set as the video transitions from a fast-paced pop-country rhythm into a slower, wistful sound. Jones’ guarded walls begin to chip away as her persistent suitor follows her through Utah’s Zion National Park and ultimately to the coastal surf town of Big Sur. From sunrise in Key West to sunset on the West Coast, the two-part series ends as the co-stars embrace, proving that all things come in good time.
Billboard debuted the single last month saying, “The infectious pop-country tune showcases Jones’ ethereal vocals and descriptive storytelling as the song plays out as a mini Hallmark movie.”
“Chasin’ Me” is the first single from Jones since her full-length album Bare Feet was released last March. Along with writing every song and performing all instruments (except for drums and bass), the tenacious country-pop artist co-produced Bare Feet with Grammy and Academy Award-winning producer Ric Wake (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Trisha Yearwood). The album climbed to No. 16 on the Nielsen SoundScan Country Albums Chart and No. 14 on iTunes Country Albums Chart.
Last week, Jones kicked off the first four dates of Kenny Chesney’s cross-country Songs for the Saints Tour. Chesney commented of Jones being added to the tour, “Caroline is so fresh, so filled with life and so consumed by her music, she seemed like the perfect person because of everything No Shoes Nation is about.” Following her dates with Chesney, Caroline will reunite with Zac Brown Band on The Owl Tour through the fall.
