Country star will wrap 2022 in Dec

Platinum-selling COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cody Johnson has announced the final two shows for his 2022 headlining tour. The concerts will happen in Viejas Arena at San Diego University in San Diego, California on October 20th and Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 9th. Both shows are on sale this Friday, July 29th via Johnson’s website.

Johnson is set to play a sold out show in Nashville this week at FirstBank Amphitheater. He spoke with The Tennessean about his “dream chasing journey” from his first-ever show years ago in Nashville at 3rd & Lindsley, to his two sold out dates at the Ryman last fall and the upcoming sold out performance this Thursday.

“I used to tell my band before we’d go on stage, ‘Play this show like you wanna play for the rest of your life,'” he shares. “As if we had something to prove to the people in the crowd. My perspective has changed (to where) I say, ‘Go play this show like it’s the last show you’re ever going to play.’ There’s a difference in the approach. The crowd … appreciating them paying their money to be there. The appreciation that radio’s playing my single. We’re thankful for all those things.”

The sold out FirstBank Amphitheater concert is one of 32 sold out concerts on the books for Johnson since the beginning of this year.
