Cody Johnson premieres ‘Human’ video

Video premieres with CMT

The official music video for COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville multi-platinum selling recording artist Cody Johnson’s “Human” has been released with a broadcast premiere on CMT, CMT Music and ViacomCBS Times Square billboards. The “Human” video was directed by Dustin Haney, who also shot Johnson’s “’Til You Can’t” music video that won at this year’s CMT Music Awards as Male Video of the Year.

“Human has been the most biographical song I feel like I’ve recorded so far,” Johnson shares. “Having said that, this video is a very candid look into my life behind the scenes and the journey to strike a balance. My favorite memory of the shoot was being on my horse, Booger, while filming in the river bottom. He worked really well down there and gave us some great footage. There are few feelings better than that.”

On Friday night (Oct 14th), Johnson will perform “Human” on the 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year. Johnson is being recognized, along with a few of his peers, by collectively dominating the last 12 months in country music, leading across all CMT platforms, scoring chart-topping albums and singles, and performing music that entertains and inspires millions of fans. The 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year premieres Friday, October 14th at 9 pm ET/PT.

“Human,” written by Tony Lane and Travis Meadow, is the second single Johnson’s 18-song Human The Double Album.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Johnson had increased his global career streams by one billion in the first ten months of 2022. This is the second consecutive year he has gained one billion additional streams, bringing his current career global streams total to four billion.

Johnson has headlined concerts across the US this year with 40 sold out dates on the books so far. He’s currently on his final leg of concerts in 2022 which will wrap on December 9th in Las Vegas.
