“Save Me The Trouble” tops the country radio charts

Three-time Grammy Award-winners Dan + Shay made their tenth visit to the top of the country radio airplay chart with “Save Me The Trouble” arriving at No. 1 on this week’s chart.

The lead single from the duo’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Bigger Houses, finishes its run on the airplay chart with the same fanfare as it did upon arrival. At the time of release in July 2023, “Save Me The Trouble” was welcomed at country radio as the highest Country Aircheck debut since July 2022, with an impressive 134 adds, marking the duo’s largest career add day to date. The track stood at the top of the chart with 9,412 spins this past week, the fourth-highest spin count ever in Mediabase history.

The tenth hit single, “Save Me The Trouble,” sits among a lineage of career, and history, milestones for Dan + Shay including the five-times platinum “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber which crossed the Spotify one billion streams mark last month, a rarity for country artists, the eight-time platinum “Tequila,” and the six-time platinum “Speechless.”

Dan + Shay look to bring those global hits, plus many more, to the fans as they ready The Heartbreak On The Map Tour, aptly receiving its name from the third song appearing on Bigger Houses, which was co-produced by the duo’s Dan Smyers and Scott Hendricks. The Heartbreak On The Map Tour, produced by Live Nation, is set to kick off on February 29th in Greenville, South Carolina. Supporting Dan + Shay on this tour will be acclaimed singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters

Bigger Houses follows the duo’s record-shattering, critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning, platinum album, Good Things. Also co-produced by Smyers, the highly imaginative LP featured the country radio No. 1’s – the platinum-certified hits “I Should Probably Go To Bed” and two-time platinum “Glad You Exist,” as well as “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber. Good Things was also the first country album in the streaming era to achieve RIAA gold certification at release and is one of the only 12 albums all-genre to be released and go gold in 2021.

In addition, Dan + Shay will become the first-ever coaching duo on NBC’s Emmy-winning program The Voice, joining Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper for season 25 airing in spring 2024. The pair will bring a wealth of experience to their team, with a long list of impressive accolades that include becoming the first and only artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance three-time consecutively since the category’s inception (2021 – “10,000 Hours,” 2020 – “Speechless,” 2019 – “Tequila”). Dan + Shay claimed their third consecutive win for Favorite Country Duo or Group at the American Music Awards (2022), where they began their streak by sweeping their categories in 2020, becoming the first country artist ever to win Collaboration of the Year. In addition, the three-time ACM Awards Duo of the Year and two-time CMA Awards Duo of the Year winners were named Top Country Duo/Group at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

In the ten years since they formed, Dan + Shay has garnered more than 11 billion career streams globally, multiple international No. 1 singles and 49 total RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications in the US alone.
