Album Cheat Codes out Aug 12th
Danger Mouse & Black Thought have released the visualizer for “Because.” Directed by Uncanny, the video takes place through the eyes of a pedestrian within a 3D rendering of Times Square as the artists take over screens and billboards performing their verses. The single take music video features the collaborators in a mixture of real footage and AI altered imagery.
The song is the second track to be released from their collaborative debut album, Cheat Codes, due August 12th via BMG.
Cheat Codes marks Danger Mouse’s first hip hop album since his Dangerdoom collaboration with the late, great MF Doom, and follows Black Thought’s pioneering output with The Roots and critically acclaimed solo trilogy, Streams Of Thought. The album also features collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, MF Doom, Michael Kiwanuka, Raekwon and Conway the Machine.
