Eighties rock icon urges crowd to join in to shout “We’re Not Gonna Take It”

Dee Snider has teamed with T-Mobile for its Carrier Callout campaign that rallies against AT&T and Verizon raising its prices from $6-12 on select plans. Yesterday (Tues, July 12th), Snider rallied a crowd in Times Square and told them to join him in belting out “We’re Not Gonna Take It” outside of the AT&T and Verizon storefronts in the heart of New York City.

“People are clearly fed up with these price hikes, and there’s no better global stage for making a statement than Times Square,” Snider shares. “Raising rates on people isn’t just infuriating, it’s unnecessary – as T-Mobile has proved.”

A day earlier, Snider teased the rallying on Twitter.

“Anyone remember me railing against AT&T last year? Well here’s another hint about tomorrow… So sick of these wireless companies raising their prices. Ready to let them know what we think? As a #TMobilePartner you know I am!! Stay tuned…. #CarrierCallout” he shares.

“I don’t expect you to remember, but last year I was railing against AT&T for how they were treating me after being a customer for 2 decades! The gave me zero response & before switching services I swore I wasn’t finished with them. Tomorrow I make good on my promise! BWAHAHAHA!!” he writes in another tweet.

While AT&T and Verizon have responded to inflation by asking for more money from customers, T-Mobile is helping to tackle it with Price Lock, which guarantees the un-carrier won’t raise rate plan prices even as costs for everything else increase.

Providers like Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile and UScellular also have price protections in place for their customers. But now, T-Mobile is calling for all wireless providers to join the movement. The un-carrier wants to transform the wireless industry for the better by asking providers to stop raising rate plan prices for customers, because it’s the right thing to do – especially in these difficult, inflationary times.
