Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners DVD is hosted by Bill Gaither

Emmy Award winner and two-time Golden Globe nominee Dennis Quaid’s Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners DVD, hosted by gospel music legend Bill Gaither, is available now from Gaither Music Group. The TV special premieres tonight (Fri, Mar 29th) at 7 pm ET on UPtv as part of the uplifting network’s “Bring the Spring” programming slate.

Filmed at Gaither Studios in Alexandria, Indiana, Fallen features Quaid performing soul-stirring renditions of seven hymns and classics and five original songs. The actor/singer/songwriter also sits down with Bill Gaither for an inspiring conversation, sharing his journey of redemption and message of eternal hope.

Released on July 28, 2023, Fallen debuted at No. 1 on the Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart and landed in the Top 15 on Billboard’s Top 200 Christian/Gospel chart. The album also ranked No. 1 on Amazon’s Best Sellers in CDs & Vinyl, Hot New Releases in Christian & Gospel, and Best Sellers in Country charts.

In celebration of the release, Quaid graced the August cover of People, where he took readers inside The Clement House recording studio and his Nashville home, opening up about faith, love, and second chances. Quaid also performed the title track on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Fallen was executive produced by Quaid with producers David R. “Fergie” Ferguson, Ben Isaacs and Chris Lindsey. The Isaacs and Jackson Brumley supply background vocals on “I’ll Fly Away,” while The Oak Ridge Boys join Quaid on “Life’s Railway to Heaven.” Originally released on the soundtrack for Quaid’s faith-based film I Can Only Imagine, “On My Way to Heaven” was inspired by the global superstar’s public grapple with addiction. Quaid also vulnerably acknowledges these personal struggles and his subsequent return to Christianity on songs like the title track.

The 12-song collection follows Quaid’s 2018 album, Out of the Box, described by Quaid as a junkyard of American music. Though he loves writing, recording and making movies, music holds a special place in the Texas native’s heart, and for the last four decades, he has toured extensively, displaying equal ease on the piano and acoustic guitar. Quaid enchants audiences with a set list that ranges from songs such as those included on Fallen to rock ‘n’ roll standards like “Great Balls of Fire!,” an homage to “The Killer,” whom he portrayed in the 1989 box office smash.

Quaid’s recent acting roles include starring roles in Paramount+ series Bass Reeves; Max miniseries Full Circle; Netflix’s uplifting film, Blue Miracle; Sony’s thriller The Intruder, Universal’s A Dog’s Journey and A Dog’s Purpose; and Disney’s animated film Strange World. On April 12th, Quaid’s production company, Bonniedale, will release The Long Game, a movie about a group of Mexican American teen caddies who go on to out-golf the all-white country clubs that rejected them. Quaid recently completed production portraying the 40th president of the United States in the biopic, Reagan, slated for theatrical release on August 30th.
