Pair will release gospel duet on Feb 24th

Musical legends Dolly Parton and Dionne Warwick are releasing their first-ever collaboration with the gospel duet, “Peace Like A River,” available February 24th. Parton wrote the track and Warwick’s son Damon Elliott produced it for And Cut…Productions.

“I was honored to get to sing with one of my idols, Dionne Warwick. I have loved her since we were younger and getting to sing with her was one of the highlights of my career. I loved that she loved my song, and I loved singing it with her,” says Parotn.

“I so admire Dolly Parton’s talent and work ethic,” adds Warwick. “I am thrilled to have this opportunity for us to work together.”

The pair is filming a video today (Tues, Feb 7th) in Nashville to accompany the musical release that will be available on Warwick’s and Elliott’s Kind Music Group label. The video was directed by Nick Pres and Damon Elliott and will also drop on February 24th.

Parton and Elliott recently teamed with Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan and Debbie Harry for “Gonna Be You” from the Paramount Pictures film 80 For Brady. The song is written by iconic Honorary Oscar, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren and produced by Elliott.

Warwick’s documentary, Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over, will begin streaming on HBO Max this month. Narrated mostly in Ms. Warwick’s own velvet-toned voice, Don’t Make Me Over blends archival footage with personal photographs and newsreels, telling the story of her music and life, including the backstories behind her many hit songs.
