Track is latest from forthcoming Higher Than Heaven album

Pop superstar Ellie Goulding has shared her infectious new single “By the End of the Night.” The track is the latest to be unveiled from her anticipated fifth studio album Higher Than Heaven coming April 7th on Interscope Records.

“By the End of the Night” follows the recent release of trance banger “Miracle” with Calvin Harris, which entered the UK Official Chart at No. 3 and was met with unanimous praise from fans and critics alike.

Speaking about “By The End Of The Night,” Ellie says: “I feel like we’ve all been through such a lot over the last few years, we’re still processing everything. I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like we need music that uplifts us and makes us feel good and that’s exactly how I feel about ‘By The End Of The Night.’ It gives me a sense of euphoric, sensual escape, like being on a dancefloor on another planet… something that was appealing back in the late 80’s… where this track could have easily come from!”

Ahead of Higher Than Heaven, Goulding is fresh off a visit to the US where she made memorable appearances on Good Morning America, The Late Late Show With James Corden, and MSNBC’s The Beat With Ari Melber. Goulding also treated lucky fans to a special evening at the famed Grammy Museum in Los Angeles where she performed to a sold out house followed by a Q&A moderated by Rolling Stone’s Tomás Mier.

Amazon Freevee is also celebrating the release of Higher Than Heaven with an upcoming concert special, Monumental: Ellie Goulding at Kew Gardens. The special will debut exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the US, UK, and Germany on March 31st. For the special, Goulding performs at the world’s largest and most diverse botanic gardens, London’s Kew Gardens. The show includes acoustic performances of fan favorites and selections from her new album. Radio host Roman Kemp also sits down with Goulding to discuss her new album and life as a new mom, while the show features an additional discussion with Kew’s senior science policy advisor, Dr. Carly Cowell on environmental urgency.

For Higher Than Heaven, Ellie enlisted some of pop music’s finest to craft the music with her, including Greg Kurstin (Sia, Maggie Rogers, Elton John), Jessie Shatkin (Charli XCX, Years & Years), Koz (Sam Ryder, Madonna, Dua Lipa) and Andrew Wells (Halsey, Yungblud). Putting her own spin on modern pop music, the end result is a jam-packed collection of irresistible hits showcasing Ellie’s signature vocals that take center stage. The production is pop music at its finest, with stomping basslines, soaring synths and euphoric melodies.
