Refunds will automatically be processed

The first two farewell shows David Lee Roth was scheduled to play in Las Vegas have been canceled. The career-ending residency shows were set to kick off December 31st and January 1st at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. Organizers share that COVID-19 is the cause of the cancelations.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances related to COVID and out of an abundance of caution for those working and attending the shows, the David Lee Roth performances scheduled for Dec. 31, 2021 and Jan. 1, 2022, have been canceled. Refunds will be automatically processed, and ticketholders will be notified directly,” a note from the promoter says.

No further details have been revealed as of press time or if future shows may be impacted.

The sold out shows on January 5th, 7th and 8th are still currently being planned with dates expanding to include 14, 15, 21 and 22, despite the singer saying he was retiring after the initial run of shows.

In October, Roth told the Las Vegas Review Journal that he would call it quits at the end of the initial five show run.

“I am throwing in the shoes. I’m retiring,” Roth shares. “This is the first, and only, official announcement. You’ve got the news. Share it with the world. I’m not going to explain the statement. The explanation is in a safe. These are my last five shows.”

However, in early December, the former Van Halen frontman added four additional shows due to demand.

The larger than life residency at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will delight fans with an explosive two-guitar sound and mega list of familiar hits featuring a changing set of 26 instantly recognizable songs from his Van Halen era through his own solo career.
