Band will perform in Anchorage and Fairbanks

Not content to bring live rock n roll marathons back to the Lower 48, Foo Fighters have confirmed a three-show expedition to Alaska. The band will play its first ever shows in the Last Frontier on August 17th and 19th at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, and August 21st at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks. Tickets on sale now via Ticketmaster.

All fans must either show proof of COVID-19 vaccination within 14 days or negative test before entering.

“The Event Organizer is requiring fans agree to the terms below prior to ticket purchases & event entry. Please note these confirmations will apply to all members of your party before they are allowed to enter the event and to any users of the tickets purchased by you,” Ticketmaster shares. “By purchasing tickets for this event, I confirm that at the time of the event I will have received a negative COVID-19 test within 48-hours of the event, OR have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (14 days past final vaccination shot), and will provide proof of vaccination prior to entering the venue. Children under 12 years of age or fans with a valid medical reason preventing vaccination will be required to take a COVID-19 diagnostic test within 48-hours before the event, and will provide proof of negative result prior to entering the venue. Mask wearing will be encouraged.”

The Alaskan dates are the latest addition to a US itinerary that kicked off last month with the now legendary sold out, full-capacity Madison Square Garden show that welcomed live music back to New York. This historic moment marked Foo Fighters ushering in the post-COVID arena rock era with Madison Square Garden’s first concert in more than 460 days. The three hour show featured 24 songs including an appearance from Dave Chapelle for a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.” They dedicated the performance to their late stage manager, Andy Pollard, who passed away unexpectedly two days before.

Last month, the band performed its full capacity show since the pandemic at The Canyon in Agoura Hills, CA. Tickets were only $26 and concertgoers were given 12 hours notice before three thousand patrons showed up to purchase all 600 tickets.

They’re also slated to perform the first full capacity concert at the iconic Forum in Los Angeles in more than a year this weekend (July 17th). In addition, they’re headlining this year’s Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and BottleRock and kick off the 25th 26th Anniversary Tour on July 28th with Redkey as support.

Also on July 17th, Dave Grohl and Co will release Hail Satin, a tribute to the Bee Gees, as The Dee Gees, on limited edition vinyl packaged in an era-appropriate rainbow mylar sleeve. The disco record is part of the second Record Store Day Drops in 2021 and features Bee Gees covers on one side and live at 606 renditions of roughly half of Foo Fighters Medicine at Midnight album.
