Garth Brooks Bakersfield Dive Bar date announced

Brooks has teamed with Seagrams 7 for the Dive Bar Tour

The date for Garth Brooks’ Dive Bar Tour heading to Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield has been set for Thursday, August 15th. Brooks revealed the location and city via his Inside Studio G Facebook Live series on Monday (July 29th) where Brooks shared the great personal importance of this storied country music venue. Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace is the spot where Brooks popped the question to now wife Trisha Yearwood at an event in May 2005.

Local country radio station KUZZ got to announce the date of the concert this morning (Tues, July 30th). Tickets will be available to win exclusively through country radio with more details to follow. The tour is presented by Seagrams 7, so all ticket holders must be 21 and over.

KUZZ is offering tickets to fans who are the correct caller when they hear a specific Garth song beginning immediately. Stations throughout the region, including portions of Nevada, are also expected to be giving away tickets to the 500-600 capacity venue.

Brooks opened the short Dive Bar Tour at Joe’s in Chicago on July 15th. Bakersfield is the second stop of seven with the other cities to be announced at a later date.

The tour is in support of “Dive Bar,” Brooks’ latest single that features Blake Shelton. Shelton has not been announced to perform at any of the Dive Bar Tour dates. “Dive Bar” was currently available only via country radio until Amazon Prime Day, when it became available on July 15th at Amazon Music. A video is also planned for release this summer.

Upon its exclusive radio window, the song was the most added at country radio with 135 total stations, landing at No. 23 on Mediabase, and the second highest debut on Billboard of 2019 at No. 16. “Dive Bar” is taken from Brooks’ forthcoming studio album Fun, and is his first musical collaboration with Shelton, whose current hit, “God’s Country,” landed at No. 1 earlier this month.

Brooks has joined Seagram’s 7 to declare this the summer of Dive Bars with the pair pledging to #JoinThePact to help make our roads safer for everyone by never driving impaired. Together, Brooks and Seagram’s 7 have committed to securing 700,000 pledges this summer from dive bar patrons across the country at jointhepact.com.
