Garth Brooks sells out both Minneapolis shows

Brooks sells more than 100k tickets

Garth Brooks has sold out his second concert at U.S. Bank in Minneapolis. The first stadium show sold out in an hour last week while the second stadium show sold out in two hours today (Thurs, Dec 20th). More than 100,000 tickets were sold for both shows. The concerts are Friday, May 3rd at 7 pm and Saturday, May 4th at 7 pm. The tour is presented by Amazon Music. The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour is returning to the Twin Cities after four and a half years.

On Friday, May 14th, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton asked Garth Brooks to perform a second concert at U.S. Bank Stadium, after the hour long sell out left upwards of 50,000 still waiting to buy tickets. This past Monday morning on a conference call with Governor Dayton and local press in Minneapolis, Brooks agreed to a second show. Brooks had planned to do a press conference with Governor Dayton at the Minnesota State Capitol that morning, but due to a mechanical issue with the airplane, he had to cancel.

Both concerts will be end stage in-the-round staging. There will be an eight ticket limit per purchase. Tickets can only be purchased at ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks or either Ticketmaster Express 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000.

Tickets will cost $75.77 plus a $2.70 facility fee, a service charge of $7.25 and a $9.23 tax for a total of $94.95.

The concerts are part of a three long North American stadium trek. Several concerts have already sold out. The tour is expected to hit 10-12 cities per year for three years playing at college and professional football stadiums.

Recently, Brooks sold out the first ever concert at Notre Dame Football Stadium. The concert, Garth: Live at Notre Dame! aried on CBS on Sunday, December 2nd and will re-air on Friday, December 28th. The tour is set to hit Notre Dame Stadium again something later during the trek.

Brooks’ The Anthology Part III, LIVE, was released on November 20th. It’s an exciting, detailed, insider look at the electrifying concerts of Garth Brooks, with behind-the-scenes stories, insider secrets, and interviews with band and crew. It contains five CDs with 52 live recordings, never before seen photographs and ten augmented reality experiences that can be seen on the Garth Live app. It also includes the new live album, Triple Live. It’s the soundtrack of the record breaking, number one tour in North American history.
