Event will be moderated by Linda Perry
Eight-time GRAMMY winner, Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and Oscar-nominated artist Dolly Parton will open her GRAMMY Museum exhibit, Diamond In A Rhinestone World: The Costumes of Dolly Parton, with a Town Hall Program on Monday, February 4th at the Museum’s Clive Davis Theater. This is the first exhibit Parton has had in the United States outside of her Tennessee theme park Dollywood. The discussion will be moderated by GRAMMY-nominated producer and Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Linda Perry who is nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY Award for Producer of the Year, making her the first woman in over 14 years to be nominated in the category. Perry and Parton most recently collaborated on the soundtrack for the 2019 Netflix film Dumplin,’ featuring the song “Girl In The Movies,” which was nominated for both a Golden Globe Award and Critics Choice Award for Best Song.
The exhibit opens to the public on February 5th and will run through March 17th. Additionally, Parton will be honored at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute on Friday, February 8th. The tribute will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center two nights prior to the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards.
