Special events will be held at the Ryman on January 19th

The Grand Ole Opry is going to “Go Dolly” again on January 19th. Opry Goes Dolly will celebrate Opry member Dolly Parton, country music’s greatest global ambassador and an artist who takes the Opry with her wherever she goes. Opry Goes Dolly, a one-of-a-kind Opry show that falls on her actual birthday will be held at the historic Ryman Auditorium and is the second straight year the show has celebrated the icon’s birthday. While Parton will not appear in person, the Friday night Opry will feature special guest artists performing their favorite Dolly hits, Dolly-themed events, photo-ops, and more. Among those scheduled for the Opry Goes Dolly show are Dolly fans Ashley Monroe and Tigirlily Gold, with more to be announced soon.

$5 from every ticket sold to the January 19th show will be donated to the Opry Trust Fund in Parton’s honor. For more than 50 years, the fund has assisted members of the country music community in need.

Among other plans in celebration of Dolly’s birthday include birthday treats baked using Duncan Hines Dolly Parton’s mixes given to Opry House and Ryman tour guests on Dolly’s January 19th birthday while supplies last; a larger-than-life birthday card for fans to sign at the Ryman Auditorium and Opry House on January 19th; Dolly impersonator on Ryman Plaza for photos during January 19th Opry Goes Dolly show; signature Dolly drinks at all Ryman bars during the January 19th Opry Goes Dolly show.

Parton’s Rockstar album, one of the most highly anticipated projects of 2023, is available now via Butterfly Records with distribution by Big Machine Label Group. The album is available in multiple configurations.

In celebration of the release of Rockstar, The Opry Shop will feature a Rockstar pop-up shop that will run through January 19th featuring Dolly music and merchandise including Rockstar vinyl and CDs, Rockstar-themed t-shirts, sweatshirts and more.

Last month, Parton also released her latest New York Times best-selling book, Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones, available now. The stunningly photographed book spotlights the living legend’s most iconic looks from the 1960s to now. The book is the second in a three-part series, the first being 2020’s bestselling Songteller: My Life in Lyrics.
