The company continues to invest into musical compositions

HarbourView Equity Partners has acquired Christine McVie’s share of Fleetwood Mac’s recorded music royalties and “select” recorded music and publishing assets from Grammy Award-winning artists Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, spanning their entire careers.

“We are fortunate and blessed that the estate of Christine McVie and the iconic Pat & Neil chose to partner with our firm,” says HarbourView founder Sherrese Clarke Soares. “We look forward to welcoming more and diverse repertoire into our catalog. We take a long-term view on these assets and look to be the forever owner, partnering with the artists and estates to cement their legacy.”

McVie was a key member of Fleetwood Mac during her tenure between 1970 and 1998, contributing songs such as “Songbird,” “Don’t Stop,” “Over My Head,” and others. She retired from the group in 1998 before rejoining in 2014 where she remained an active member until her untimely death in November 2022. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside her bandmates in 1998.

Together, Benatar and Giraldo have scored 19 Top 40 hits, including “Love is a Battlefield,” “Promises In The Dark,” “We Live For Love,” “Heartbreaker” and “Hell Is For Children.” They’ve sold more than 30 million records globally and hold two multi-platinum, five platinum and three gold albums. Benatar and Giraldo were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
