Hixtape: Vol. 2 series comes to a close
Hardy, Morgan Wallen & Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters get loud and proud about their country roots in “Goin’ Nowhere,” the final track from Hixtape, Vol. 2. Marking the 14th and final week of the all-star country collabs project, the track was co-written by series founder Hardy with Joe Clemmons, Jacob Durrett and Canaan Smith – the theme song to loving life in the sticks, and never wanting to change.
Featuring a thundering hard rock sound and scorching guitar solo from Shiflett (who also has his own country career), it was produced by Joey Moi with co-production by Derek Wells, finishing the series on a chest-thumping tribute to knowing right where you belong.
Hixtape: Vol. 2 is a groundbreaking country collaborations album founded by Hardy, with a star-studded list of 33 artists creating the ultimate mixtape of backroads bangers and party-friendly anthems. The 14 track project features Ashland Craft, Ben Burgess, Brantley Gilbert, Brothers Osborne, Chase Rice, Chris Lane, Chris Shiflett, Colt Ford, David Lee Murphy, Dierks Bentley, Ernest, Granger Smith, Jake Owen, Jake Worthington, Jimmie Allen, Jon Pardi, Josh Thompson, Justin Moore, Lainey Wilson, Larry Fleet, Lee Brice, Marty Stuart, Matt Stell, Midland, Morgan Wallen, Randy Houser, Rhett Akins, Ronnie Dunn, Scotty McCreery, Sean Stemaly, The Cadillac Three and Travis Denning.
