Wallen says his tour will continue as planned

Morgan Wallen has released a statement about his felony arrest earlier this month in Nashville. The country star was taken into custody on April 7th after being accused of throwing a chair off the sixth story of Eric Church’s newly opened Chief’s on Broadway, which landed a few feet away from police officers standing in front of the complex.

“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility,” he shares on social media. “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW”

Wallen was arrested on three counts of reckless endangerment for the two officers and was charged with disorderly conduct. Witnesses report the 30-year-old country star laughed after the incident and had been drinking.

Wallen is due in court on May 3rd, the same night he wraps a two-night stand at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium during his 2024 One Night at a Time Tour.

Later this year, Wallen is set to open his own six-story multi-entertainment complex not far from Chief’s, called This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen. It will be a bar, restaurant, and live music concept in downtown Nashville’s iconic Lower Broadway district. Wallen has partnered with trusted Broadway owner and operator TC Restaurant Group to bring his vision to life and deliver an experience true to himself and unique to the market.
