Jelly Roll breaks chart record, makes Billboard history

Star scores 25th week atop Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart

Jelly Roll has made Billboard history on their Emerging Artists chart. Last week, the Stoney Creek Records/BMG recording artist landed a record-breaking 25th week at No. 1, besting the previous 24 week record set in 2019-2020, for most weeks at No. 1 on the chart.

Jelly Roll’s streak was powered by his chart-topping songs “Dead Man Walking” and “Son Of A Sinner,” as well as “She” and his newest single, “Need A Favor.” His latest studio album release, Ballads Of The Broken, was released by BMG in 2021.

This week (chart week dated February 18, 2023), “Need A Favor” is No. 21 Country Digital Song Sales, No. 39 Country Airplay, and No. 43 Hot Country Songs, meanwhile on the Billboard Rock charts the song is No. 13 Rock Digital Song Sales, re-enters the Hot Rock Songs chart at No. 20, and is No. 25 Hot Rock & Alternative Songs,

“Son Of A Sinner” comes in at No. 7 Rock Digital Song Sales, No. 8 Rock Streaming Songs, and No. 13 Country Digital Song Sales, while “She” re-enters the Hot Rock & Alternative chart at No. 50.

Recently, following the rise of his first No. 1 at country radio, Nashville’s breakout new star praised the role of Stoney Creek and BMG saying, “I want to take a second to thank my label Stoney Creek and BMG — [Jon] Loba and his misfits — y’all took the biggest chance. Every label in town told me I had a better chance signing with a label in LA than to ever have a chance in this town with my history — not only did that not scare BMG, it made them want to double down and go all in!”
