Mitchell will appear in June 2023
Joni Mitchell has announced her first headlining performance in two decades. Mitchell will host Joni Jam II at Echoes Through the Canyon on June 10th at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA.
Brandi Carlile shared the news on The Daily Show Wednesday night (Oct 19th), ahead of the official announcement.
“After Newport Joni said, ‘I want to do another show,'” Carlile tells host Trevor Noah. “No one’s been able to buy a ticket to see Joni Mitchell play in 20 years, so this is enormous, and she’s so excited because it’s close to Canada.”
Carlile will headline the first of the two night event on June 9th followed by Mitchell the second night.
Tickets will be sold in three increments with an artist presale starting with a Citi cardmember presale from Tuesday, October 25th at 10 am PT until Thursday, October 27th at 10 pm PT through the Citi Entertainment program. An artist presale starts Thursday, October 27th at 10 am PT before the public sale at 10 am PT on Friday, October 28th.
Mitchell’s last public performance was at this year’s pre-Grammys MusiCares Person of the Year celebration when she participated in a singalong. She was a surprise guest at the 2022 Newport Festival.
