The artists are slated to perform ahead of the third and fourth games, respectively

Major League Baseball has announced special performances of the National Anthem scheduled before Games Three and Four in Phoenix of the 2023 World Series presented by Capital One.

Multi-platinum singer and songwriter Jordin Sparks will perform the National Anthem before Game 3 on Monday, October 30th when the National League Champion Arizona Diamondbacks host the American League Champion Texas Rangers in the 119th Fall Classic.

Sparks was the winner of season six of American Idol, one of the show’s highest-rated seasons, garnering worldwide attention. The Phoenix native has toured with superstars Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, The Jonas Brothers, New Kids on The Block, and the Backstreet Boys; headlined her own tour; and recently returned to the Broadway stage as the lead in the Tony Award-winning Waitress to critical acclaim. She currently holds the position of Governor of the LA Chapter of the Recording Academy.

Mickey Guyton, the four-time Grammy nominee and 2022 Time Breakthrough Artist of the Year, will perform the National Anthem before Game 4. Guyton made history as the first black artist to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. Remember Her Name also landed Mickey with Grammy nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. She performed as part of the 2021 awards ceremony. Audiences around the world watched Guyton deliver a powerful message of inclusivity and togetherness with her performance of the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.

Fox’s network coverage of the 2023 World Series presented by Capital One begins at 7 pm ET for all games and will include National Anthem performances at approximately 7:45 pm ET.
