Track arrives during a slew of television appearances
Critically acclaimed and rising singer-songwriter and musician JP Saxe releases the fun-loving official music video for the “Hey Stupid, I Love You” Spanglish version featuring Reggaetón duo, Mau y Ricky. Saxe stars in the video from Los Angeles, alongside Mau y Ricky, who shot the video in Miami.
Saxe recently released the follow-up single to smash hit, “If The World Was Ending” called “A Little Bit Yours” earlier this month alongside an emotionally-stirring official music video. Last week, Saxe participated in Troubadour’s Save Our Stages Festival last weekend. PEOPLE Magazine included Saxe in the Top 5 of their Artists To Watch list, for those “making their mark on the musical landscape.” Saxe secured the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart for two straight weeks in a row. “A Little Bit Yours” arrived on the heels of his MTV VMAs debut alongside Julia Michaels in partnership with Extra Gum. The stripped-back performance of “If The World Was Ending,” which Vulture praised as “gorgeous,” was dedicated to frontline workers and everyday heroes at home. The pair also performed “If The World Was Ending” on NBC’s America’s Got Talent finale episode.
One year since its release, “If The Word Was Ending” featuring GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Julia Michaels, has over one billion streams, over 110 million video views, is platinum in the U.S., (among other territories) and is 4x platinum in Canada. The collaboration was produced by five-time GRAMMY Award-winner, Finneas. In May, the pair released a new video of their song, featuring special guests like GRAMMY Award-winner Alessia Cara, two-time GRAMMY Award-winner H.E.R, four-time GRAMMY Award-winner Keith Urban, GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Kesha, Niall Horan, four-time GRAMMY Award-winner Sam Smith, GRAMMY Award-winner Anthony Ramos. Proceeds were donated to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in its global response to COVID-19.
