Global popstar Jung Kook of BTS has unveiled a music video teaser for “Standing Next to You,” the main track of his solo album Golden on BTS’ official social channels. The teaser offers a first-ever look at the main track’s performance.
In the teaser, Jung Kook makes a grand entrance, wearing a large black wing and instantly captivating the viewers. The choreography with the dancers against an elegant backdrop showcases an undeniable chemistry. The settings that change along with the versatile performers’ outfits, is another standout moment in the video.
The rich, soaring melody of the main track adds a sense of grandeur to the teaser, further intensified by Jung Kook’s dynamic facial expressions and aura. The culmination of instrumentals at the end of the video, combined with the changing visuals, leaves a strong impression on the viewers.
“Standing Next to You,” a retro funk track with a modern interpretation of the old school disco funk sound, shows the pinnacle of Jung Kook’s artistry and stage presence as he continues his upward trajectory as a global popstar.
Golden, slated for release on November 3rd, takes motifs from the golden moments of Jung Kook as a solo artist. The album consists of a total of 11 tracks including the main track “Standing Next to You,” solo single “Seven” featuring Latto in both clean and explicit versions, and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow as well as new tracks “Closer to You” featuring Major Lazer, “Yes or No,” “Please Don’t Change” featuring DJ Snake, “Hate You,” “Somebody,” “Too Sad to Dance,” and “Shot Glass of Tears.”
Jung Kook will hold a fan showcase Jung Kook ‘Golden’ Live On Stage, which will be livestreamed for free on Weverse live at 6 am ET on November 20th.
