Musical opens in the fall of 2022

The Korean pop (K-Pop) phenomenon will be examined in a new Broadway production this fall. KPOP, the Broadway Musical will preview on October 13th before opening to the public on November 20th at Circle in the Square Theatre at W. 50th St in New York City.

It will star Luna, Kevin Woo (formerly of U-Kiss), Min Young Lee (formerly of Miss A), Bo Hyung Kim (formerly of Spica and half of Keembo), Julia Abueva, Major Curda, Jinwoo Jung, Jiho Kang, Amy Keum, James Kho, Eddy Lee, Jully Lee, Timothy H. Lee, Abraham Lim, Kate Mina Lin, Aubie Merrylees, Patrick Park, John Yi, Joshua Lee, Lina Rose lee and Zachary Noah Piser, who previously appeared on Broadway’s Wicked and Dear Evan Hansen.

As global superstars put everything on the line for a special one-night-only concert, one singer – played by K-pop and musical theater sensation Luna – faces an inner struggle that threatens to dismantle one of the hottest labels in K-pop. Pulsing with infectious beats, electrifying choreography, and breathtaking joy, KPOP is an all-consuming multimedia experience that explores the relentless discipline, raw talent, and commercial ambition behind the heart-thumping international phenomenon.

Tickets to the show that opened Off-Broadway to critical acclaim and sold out crowds can be purchased via broadway.com. It will run nightly at 8 pm with a Sunday matinee at 3 pm.

The musical is based on a book by Jason Kim with music, lyrics, music production and arrangements by Helen Park and music and lyrics by Max Vernon. Jennifer Weber will produce the choreography with music direction by Sujin Kim-Ramsey.
