New dates are in addition 21 stadium stops

Kenny Chesney has added 20 amphitheater dates for his upcoming Here and Now 2022 tour. The stops join 21 stadium dates that are set to kick off April 23rd in Tampa and conclude with what has become a No Shoes Nation tradition, he finishes with an already almost sold out double-play at Foxborough, MA’s Gillette Stadium on August 26th and 27th.

“There is something about amphitheaters that creates an immediacy that is so intimate. The energy is very different from a stadium show, and it almost opens the songs up in completely different ways. It’s pretty cool to feel that difference between the two kinds of venues, but I can tell you: both are absolutely the greatest sensations in the world,” Chesney shares.

He continues, “Whether it’s a stadium full of people screaming ‘Noise’ at the top of their lungs, or ‘When The Sun Goes Down,’ or being quieter on ‘You & Tequila,’ or seeing all the lighters and cell phone lights out on the lawn at an amphitheater as people sing that first chorus of ‘Anything But Mine,’ you can sense how much these songs mean to people, and it’s incredible.”

Tickets to the newly announced amphitheater dates go on sale Friday, February 11th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster. Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and Carly Pearce will be the supporting acts on the trek.

Fresh off his 34th career No. 1, “Knowing You,” Chesney releases classic country waltz “Everyone She Knows.” Written by Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman and Josh Osborne, “Everyone She Knows” is a pushback on who young women are told they’re supposed to be, while offering a clear-eyed look at the reality of growing up.

It was recently announced that Chesney sold 80% of his recorded music royalties to Hipgnosis Song Management for an undisclosed sum. The deal dates to his 1994 debut and includes any future greatest hits, live and acoustic albums as well as Sound Exchange and Neighboring Rights royalties for every album in his catalogue.
