Physical release drops May 20th

Universal Music, in partnership with Blackbird Productions, has set Kenny Rogers: All In For The Gambler for a CD/DVD combo pack on May 20th. The 90-minute concert film and music release includes an extraordinary line-up of artists that came together for a once-in-a-lifetime concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in 2017, three years before Rogers’ untimely passing in March 2020 at the age of 81, to celebrate the country/pop music icon and Country Music Hall of Fame member Kenny Rogers.

The concert film and accompanying music release features Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s final live performance together (including their chart topping duet “Islands In The Stream,” long considered one of the greatest country music duets ever recorded), as well as Rogers’ classic hits performed by country and pop music royalty such as “The Gambler” (Chris Stapleton), “Lady” (Lionel Richie), “She Believes In Me” (Lady A), “Through The Years” (Little Big Town), and “We’ve Got Tonight” (Idina Menzel and Charles Kelley).

The film and music release also includes previously unseen performances of Rogers’ classics “Lucille” (Justin Moore), “Love Or Something Like It” (The Oak Ridge Boys), “You Turn The Light On” (Wynonna), “Blaze Of Glory” (Billy Dean, Crystal Gayle, Kim Forester, Lee Greenwood, Rudy Gatlin, Steve Gatlin, T. G. Sheppard, T. Graham Brown, Travis Tritt) and many more.

In a special tribute, Rogers’ dear friend and longtime duet partner, global superstar Dolly Parton, takes the stage to share touching memories and anecdotes about Rogers, performing a series of songs that culminate in an emotional finale featuring Rogers himself.

In September 2021, CBS premiered an hour long version of the concert four years after it was filmed.

In a career that spanned more than six decades, Rogers left an indelible mark on the history of American music. His songs have endeared music lovers and touched the lives of millions around the world. Chart-topping hits like “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Islands In The Stream,” “Lucille,” “She Believes In Me,” and “Through the Years” are just a handful of Rogers’ songs that have inspired generations of artists and fans alike. Rogers, with 24 No. 1 hits, was a Country Music Hall of Fame member, six-time CMA Awards winner, three-time GRAMMY Award winner, recipient of the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award honoree in 2015 and has been voted the “Favorite Singer of All Time” in a joint poll by readers of both USA Today and People.
