The band continues to perform in Sin City

U2 launched their U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere last month with a star-studded opening night, but no prominent stage guests were seen until last night (Wed, Oct 25th) when Lady Gaga joined the iconic group for three songs. Bono introduced Gaga nine songs into their 23-song set to perform the band’s “All I Want Is You,” “Shallow,” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

Bono introduced Gaga as “the most audacious, vivacious woman in any room she’s ever in. Would you welcome to our turntable, the divine — the divinyl! — Lady Gaga.” Bono later said, “You are the vestal virgin of Las Vegas!” as they performed “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

Gaga co-wrote “Shallow” with Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Anthony Rossomando for the film A Star is Born, in which she co-starred with Bradley Cooper in 2018.

Lady Gaga has surprised U2 fans in the past. She appeared on stage during the band’s Innocence + Experience Tour in 2015 where she performed “Ordinary Love” with the group at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. She was also spotted as a spectator watching the Sphere show earlier this month.

Due to overwhelming demand, U2 has extended its highly-anticipated Sphere residency into 2024. Eleven new dates have been added for January and February as Bono, The Edge and Adam Clayton with Bram van den Berg, who’s “deputizing” the drum throne while Larry Mullen Jr. recuperates from surgery, provide fans with a fully immersive experience featuring top-of-the-line technology, celebrating the band’s acclaimed 1991 album Achtung Baby, as well as its accompanying industry-defining Zoo TV Tour which broke the mold in 1991.

U2’s new track “Atomic City” has hit the top spot on Billboard’s Alternative Digital Song Sales Chart, marking their first No. 1 and fifth Top 10 on this chart. The track has also landed in the top five at Triple A radio and is climbing.

U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere marks U2’s first live concerts in four years and Sphere at The Venetian in Las Vegas will be the only place fans can see the show, now expanded to 36 dates.
