Untitled project will be out in June

Luke Combs is set to release his long-awaited third album for June 24th via River North Nashville/Columbia Nashville. The country star revealed the news after a countdown on his website struck zero at 9 am ET.

“This has been a long time coming, but I’m excited to announce my next album will be released on June 24! Thank y’all for being patient with me. I can’t wait for y’all to hear these songs. I’ll be sharing more info on the album next week!” he writes.

No track listing was revealed, but fans can pre-save the album digitally. We know it does includes his latest single, “Doin’ This.” The song peaked at No. 2 after 22 weeks on the Billboard charts. The song was released following a 2021 CMA Awards performance of the track.

In a recent press event, Combs said the pandemic delayed the album as he shifted his focus to the rescheduled tour dates that started last fall.

“I kinda took a pause on working on [the album] because I just really wanted to focus on that tour,” Combs says. “We didn’t cancel one show. We had a lot of setbacks, you know — regulatory setbacks, things like that, but It was nice to be able to just focus on that, and that’s been the reason the album’s not out yet.”

The album follows What You See Ain’t Always What You Getthe deluxe version of his global No. 1 album, What You See Is What You Get. In 2020, Combs made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart — breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.
