The ceremony will be on October 30th in Nashville
Luke Combs is set to be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville on Wednesday, October 30th. The 34-year-old country star was surprised with the announcement via a video package with his “Careful What You Wish For” song during his Bootlegger Bonfire fan club weekend excursion in Miramar Beach, Florida on Saturday (Oct 12th).
“I just want to thank my whole team, my wife and kids, Happy, everybody who’s here, man. You know who you are. I don’t even have to say it. Thank you, guys,” Combs says from the stage.
The Music City Walk of Fame on Nashville’s Music Mile is a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration and made a significant contribution to the music industry with a connection to Music City. He joins the likes of Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams, Jr., and many others for the accolade that starts at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Downtown Nashville.
Ten years since Combs moved to Nashville from North Carolina, he has charted 19 consecutive No. 1 singles, sold out countless venues, and has become a global superstar. He moved to town in 2014 without a publishing deal or record contract and has amassed a rabid fanbase called Bootleggers.
Combs has teamed with fellow North Carolina native Eric Church, along with Billy Strings and James Taylor to headline Concert for Carolina, a special benefit show presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, on Saturday, October 26th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Tar Heel State is a profoundly special place for all four artists, as it is where Combs, Church and Taylor grew up and first discovered their musical interests, and where Strings has performed many times over his career and holds an extra special place in his heart. The event will be hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley and will feature additional artists to be announced. The concert sold out within several hours of going on sale last week.
This fall, Combs will open his Category 10 multi-entertainment complex in Nashville in partnership with Opry Entertainment Group, a division of Ryman Hospitality Properties. Inspired by his debut chart-topping hit “Hurricane,” Combs’ fan-first honky-tonk with live music, food, spirits, and sports will take over the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.
The multi-level facility will be the largest and most versatile entertainment complex in the downtown entertainment district. The 69,000-square-foot complex with an indoor/outdoor capacity of nearly 3,200 people will be customized to reflect Combs’ passions for music, songwriting, whiskey and sports into an unmatched downtown Nashville experience.
The facility will include a 1,500-person concert venue for ticketed events with a massive dance floor and sports bar on the main level. The Eye will be a 7,000-square-foot rooftop with unobstructed views of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium, making it the largest outdoor deck in the area. The three interior levels will feature distinct entertainment experiences inspired by Combs’ songs, lifestyle, personal interests, and deep connection to his Bootlegger fans.
Guess who just found out they’re getting inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame 👀👀
