Group is latest to postpone due to positive test

Mammoth WVH has canceled two concerts due to a positive COVID test within their touring entourage. Frontman Wolfgang Van Halen shared the news on social media on Friday night (Aug 13th).

“Mammoth WVH will not be performing tonight in Missoula, MT or Monday night in Commerce City, CO out of an abundance of caution due to a member of our touring personnel testing positive for COVID-19,” the message reads. “All band members and other crew have tested negative at this time. We apologize to those fans we won’t be seeing over the next couple of shows. Thanks to everyone for their support and we can’t wait to get back when it is 100% safe for everyone to do so.”

Both of the canceled dates are as openers for Guns N Roses, who is still expected to perform. Mammoth WVH are also headlining club dates in between the GNR trek.

Several other acts have been forced to postpone or cancel dates due to the virus. Tesla, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foo Fighters and Buckcherry are among the acts who’ve been forced to sideline as someone within their touring camps testing positive for the deadly disease.

Last week, organizers of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam postponed their festivals due to the surge of COVID cases nationwide. Others, such as Bonnaroo, Coachella and Stagecoach, will require proof of vaccination or negative test before ticketholders will be allowed to enter the venues.
